The Win-Dor team recently finished an exciting project in Newport Pagnell, Milton Keynes, where we were asked to replace all of the windows in a property.

The homeowners, Mr and Mrs Chaytor were looking to enhance the thermal and acoustic insulation of their home, whilst improving the overall appearance of the property. They contacted Win-Dor and talked through their requirements with our home improvement team. We recommended that they refit their home with new energy efficient windows and a high security door. The Chaytors agreed and the Win-Dor team got to work!
Fully reinforced, A-rated windows
In order to transform the thermal and acoustic insulation of the property, we installed reinforced double glazed windows, with a WER (Window Energy Rating) of A throughout the property. This value is at the top of the scale for efficiency, meaning that the windows offer exceptional levels of thermal retention and that they can keep a home warmer for longer, and for less. Achieving a U value of 1.6, these windows will help Mr and Mrs. Chaytor to make the most of the energy that they use and to save money on their heating bills.
We finished the windows in a beautiful rosewood colour to help match the subtle aesthetics of the overall property.
‘Secured by Design’ composite door for added peace of mind
The Win-Dor installation team also installed a rosewood coloured composite door in the property, to match the appearance of the new windows. Utilising leaded glass, and coated in a thick GRP skin, this type of door offers excellent aesthetics and is very easy to maintain, requiring just an occasional wipe clean.
The composite door we supplied the Chaytors was also rated ‘Secured by Design’: an accreditation that is given by the Police to a home product that meets strict quality standards. The scheme rigorously tests the quality and security properties of home improvement products to ensure that they offer the highest standards of protection against intruders.
