Like thousands of other football fans across the country, Win-Dor are still in happy shock at the MK Dons recent promotion to the Championship.
Time to celebrate: promotion to the Championship!
This season has seen the Milton Keynes Dons break all of their previous records, scoring 116 goals and winning an amazing 30 games.
The 2014–15 season began with the Dons’ incredible 4-0 victory over Manchester United, heralding the amazing potential that the team were capable of. Followed up by a 6-0 trouncing of Colchester United, a 7-0 flattening of Oldham Athletic and a 5-0 walloping of Crewe Alexandra, the MK Dons consistently displayed their prowess throughout the season, breaking their established records and sweeping all before them. On 3rd May, the Dons beat Yeovil Town 5-1, bounded ahead of leaders Preston North End and won promotion to the Football League Championship, the second tier of English competitive football, for the first time ever. This sent MK Dons fans everywhere into jubilation.
“The best day in our history”
In an interview after the match MK Dons manager, Karl Robinson, labelled the Yeovil win as “The best day in our history” and stated that “The players have been magnificent all season and they deserve this.”
All eyes are now on the Dons to see if they can maintain their unprecedented spree of record breaking wins.
